"Having been a aircraft mechanic and pilot for over 35 years you can imagine my delight when I was sitting on the beach looking for whales when along came this beautiful Waco biplane out of nowhere. After checking it out I knew that this was without a doubt the most exciting "tourist" attraction Kauai could possibly offer. The ability to fly a "personalized" flight route, together with the unsurpassed visibility and exhilaration of being in the open-cockpit WACO over Kauai was definitely a Top-3 experience in my 27-year aviation career. My 6-year-old son (who was initially reluctant to go up) afterwards hailed his WACO ride as the highlight of our 8-day visit to Kauai.
